Shah Rukh Khan expressed deep emotion as he spoke about the honour. “My mother would have been very happy. It is a very big honour. When my kids come, I will tell them – ‘Papa ka naam likha hai, Papa ki building hai,’” he said, standing alongside Danube Group founder and chairman Rizwan Sajan.
As expected from an SRK appearance, the event blended glamour, humour, and vintage Bollywood charm. The superstar entertained the audience with his trademark wit and even recreated iconic scenes from Om Shanti Om and Don, prompting thunderous applause.

While speaking about the significance of having a building named after him, Shah Rukh remarked, “I don’t find myself that important that I put anything in my name except my films. Films are part of my profession and worship.”
Farah Khan quickly added her classic humour: “Shah Rukh has given his name to four people — Gauri, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam.”
SRK kept up the banter. Referring to his limited public appearances, he joked, “I have become Eid ka chand… kam dikhta hoon, par jab dikhta hoon, kamaal hota hai.”
In another light-hearted moment, SRK revealed that Rizwan Sajan wanted a viral moment with him. The actor then taught him his iconic open-arm pose, the dramatic Don walk, and even the legendary Om Shanti Om line: “Itni shiddat se main tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai…”

Shah Rukh Khan shared that he initially never imagined associating with a property development bearing his name. However, he was moved by Rizwan Sajan’s personal story.
“Rizwan Bhai told me about his wife, who has been unwell. Insha Allah she will soon be fine. It touched my heart. Their team had a simple idea: many people come to big cities with dreams of building homes and businesses. If I could be part of that journey and an inspiration, it would be the greatest gift for me,” SRK stated.

Designed as a luxury commercial tower, Shahrukhz Danube will feature:

- High-end office spaces
- A grand entrance showcasing a statue of Shah Rukh Khan for visitors to take photos with

The project is expected to be completed within three to four years, with Danube Group planning to expand this concept to other major cities.
