Morocco’s Done.ma Lands USD 2.1M to Build a Homegrown Super App: Moroccan startup Done.ma has secured USD 2.1 million in seed funding from local and angel investors. to accelerate its mission of building Morocco’s first homegrown super app. The funding marks a significant milestone in the country’s digital transformation journey, as Morocco positions itself as a regional tech hub.

Founded in 2024 by Mohamed El Ghaissani, Done.ma goes beyond food delivery by offering a unified mobile platform that combines food delivery, e-commerce, quick commerce, ride-hailing, and digital financial services. With a hyperlocal model tailored to Moroccan and African consumers, Done.ma is paving the way for inclusive digital ecosystems.

Expansion and Growth Plans

Currently, Done.ma operates in eight regions of Morocco with over 1,000 retail and restaurant partners and 500 delivery ambassadors. Backed by a team of 90+ professionals, the company is preparing for rapid expansion into more Moroccan cities.

With the fresh funding, Done.ma will strengthen logistics and infrastructure, grow its product portfolio with Done Stores, quick commerce, BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) options, and marketplaces, while driving digital inclusion through job creation and accessible services.

Aligned with Morocco’s Digital Strategy

Done.ma’s ambitions strongly align with Morocco’s national digital transformation strategy, which aims to boost socioeconomic development and ensure inclusive access to essential digital services by 2030.

Speaking about the funding, founder Mohamed El Ghaissani said, “From the beginning, our ambition was to build a super app that simplifies people’s lives and shows that Morocco can produce tech solutions competitive at an international level.”

Super App Market Momentum

Globally, super apps are becoming a dominant force, especially in emerging markets. In the MENA and Africa region, the super app market is projected to exceed USD 30 billion by 2030. Done.ma seeks to capitalize on this momentum by positioning Morocco as a leading technology hub in Africa.

By merging multiple services into a single mobile platform, Done.ma is reshaping digital lifestyles in Morocco. With strong investor backing and alignment with national goals, the company is set to become a key player in the super app race across North Africa and beyond.
