The Global Student Entrepreneurs Awards (GSEA) will be held in the UAE for the first time.
The Entrepreneur’s Organization UAE Chapter will host the UAE Competition on February 18, 2017 at Dubai Knowledge Park.
GSEA, a programme of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), is an awards programme for student entrepreneurs. GSEA provides students the opportunity to form lasting relationships with students and the VIP judges, all of whom are either established entrepreneurs or leading personalities in the UAE.
The winner of the GSEA competition in the UAE, will be recognised as the country’s champion and will attend the GSEA Finals in Frankfurt in April 2017 to compete with the world’s top student entrepreneurs and have a chance to win $400,000 in cash and donated business services.
Ashish Panjabi, UAE Chair for the GSEA, said: “I was at the GSEA Finals in Bangkok last year where we had 51 participants, each from a different country participating. There was no one there from the Middle East and given the entrepreneurial activity that we have in the UAE, the Entrepreneurs’ Organization UAE Chapter made it their mission to see the country represented moving forward.”
Eligible students are currently enrolled as an undergraduate student of a recognised college or university. Students need to be primarily responsible for the operation of a business that has been operating for no less than six consecutive months. Students can apply by filling out the online application at www.GSEA.org/apply.
Selected students will have the opportunity to present their business and entrepreneurial journey in front of a panel of judges.
